Municipal Law We currently represent over 100 municipalities, including approximately 80 rural fire protection districts, five cities, three sewer districts, three water districts, a park district, a port district, and two library districts. Our clients are located throughout the state. We have formed many special districts and one city. This involved work with the local citizens group and state and county officials. We offer a variety of seminars for municipalities , including How to be a Productive Volunteer Board Member, Effective Long-Range Planning, Public Meeting Laws, Ethics for Public Officials, Contracting, Budget Law, Board Member Duties, Responsibilities and Liabilities, Civil Rights Laws Including Sexual Harassment Issues. We can assist you in all of the following municipal law issues: City and special district representation, labor negotiations, bond and measure elections, public and private collaborations, municipal finance and liability, public records and meetings, public contracting law and document preparation, Americans with Disability Act issues, family medical leave, sexual harassment, ethics, policy development, civil rights, municipal industrial parks, conflict resolution, team building, and training.
