Gwendolyn Griffith Gwen became a full time shareholder in the firm in 1999. Her practice involves all aspects of federal taxation and business planning for closely-held businesses and not-for-profit organizations. She also practices in the area of trust and estate planning. Gwen’s municipal and not-for-profit practice has a strong emphasis in consultation to entities forming collaborative ventures, particularly in the area of public-private partnerships and collaborative efforts between government and not-for-profit entities. She is also a trained mediator and arbitrator with extensive experience in guiding mergers and acquisitions. Gwen graduated from Stanford Law School and began her law career in 1981. She practiced law in Dallas, Texas, and was a professor at Willamette University College of Law from 1988-1999, and has taught at several other law schools. She is the author of "Basic Federal Income Tax", (available from Aspen Publishers ) a primer on income tax issues; and is a co-author of "Corporate Taxation", initially published by Shepard’s-McGraw Hill and now available on CD from Kleinrock (available from Amazon.com).
