Teresa J. Wilson of counselEducation: J.D., University of Oregon Law School (1975) B.A. in English, Whitman College (1972) Professional: Teresa Wilson has more than 30 years of experience providing counsel to local governments. She served as Lane County, Oregon's counsel from 1994-2008 and Assistant County Counsel from 1997-2004. Her deep knowledge is a valued resource for municipal law clients, whether cities or special districts. They rely on her legal expertise in public records, employment, policy and finance issues. Teresa joined Speer Hoyt in 2009. She is admitted to the Oregon and Federal District Court bars. Personal: Teresa is one of four generations of lawyers in her family, including her father's career as an Idaho Supreme Court judge. She is past chair of the Oregon County Counsels Association and a member of the Lane County Bar Association. She is a Northwest native. Teresa is active in the Emerald Dog Obedience Club and the Emerald Empire Basset Hound Fanciers as well as P.E.O., the women's philanthropic educational organization.
