1973:
A young ambitious attorney, Howard Speer, forms a sole-proprietorship, Howard E. Speer PC.

1981:
Howard Speer partners with J. Kenneth Jones and H. Thomas Andersen to create Speer Jones Andersen, Lawyers PC.

1986:
Russell D. Poppe joins the firm, which becomes Speer Jones Poppe, Lawyers PC.

1989:
John A. Wolf joins the firm, which then becomes Speer Jones Poppe & Wolf, Lawyers PC.

1995:
Two solid firms create a united front, when Speer Jones Poppe & Wolf merges with Hoyt & Associates to become Speer Hoyt Jones Poppe & Wolf, Lawyers PC.

2008:
The firm adopts the abridged and inclusive name, Speer Hoyt LLC.
