Thomas H. Hoyt's practice focuses on estate planning (Wills, Trusts, Powers-of-Attorney, etc.),
Will and Trust disputes, advice to small and large businesses and real estate transactions. He is
a good listener and practical problem solver. He believes that "pigs get fed and hogs get
slaughtered." Tom was admitted to the Oregon State Bar in 1966.
Tom’s law practice is deeply rooted in the community and businesses in Eugene and throughout
Oregon.
He has wide-ranging experience advising Oregon businesses, including nurturing emerging and startup
businesses and guiding business owners through sale and succession issues. Tom specializes in
providing practical, responsive and thoughtful legal advice, and speaks on topics of his specialty
throughout Oregon.
Tom believes it is possible for his clients to achieve a "win-win" outcome through mediation, all
forms of negotiation and alternative dispute resolution. However, when litigation or zealous
representation is needed, Tom can guide clients through these adversarial situations to achieve
successful results
